Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Paro
Sightseeing – Ta Dzong, Rimpong Dzong, Walk through the streets of paro and handicraft shops

Day 2: Paro – Thimphu (2 Hrs)
Sightseeing – Memorial Chorten, Tashichhodzong, Zilukha Nunnery

Day 3: Thimphu – Punakha (3 Hrs)
Sightseeing – Punakha fortress, Chimmi lakhang (fertility Temple)

Day 4: Punakha – Damji (8KM Hike)
Hike – Through the subtropical forest towards Damji village (2,400 m from sea level)

Day 5: Damji – Gasa (15KM Hike)
Hike – through the subtropical forest and village of Gasa Tshachu (Hot spring)

Day 6: Gasa – Chamsa (13KM)
Sightseeing – Gasa fortress (2,900m from sea level). Hike – through Bele La pass (3,700 m), descend to camp site 3,650m from sea level

Day 7: Chamsa – Laya (22KM)
Hike – descend towards the bank of MO CHU, ckimb towards laya (3,800m from sea level)

Day 8: Laya
Explore the village of Laya

Day 9: Laya – Rhodophu (19KM)
Hike – descend towards the Bhutan army camp site to reach yaks grazing ground (4,350m from sea level)

Day 10: Rhodopchu – Tarina (25KM)

Hike – Climb towards Tsimo-La pass (4,700m from sea level), peaks of Chomolhari and Jichu Drake and Ganglakarchung-La pass (5,080m from sea level), descend towards Tarina valley (3,980m from sea level).
Sightseeing – Lunana, Himalayan mountain range

Day 11: Tarina – Wochey (17KM)
Hike – Descend through the coniferous forest and cross the Pho Chu river to reach Wochey (3,800m from sea level)

Day 12: Wochey – Lhedi (17KM)
Hike – Through the rhododendron bushes climb towards Kecha La pass (4,480m from sea level), descend down to Lhedi village (3,650m from sea level)

Day 13: Lhedi – Thanza (17KM)
Hike – Through choejong village crossing the suspension bridge to reach Thannza (4,000m from sea level)

Day 14: Thanza (Rest day)
Sightseeing – Local temples, climb for mountain views

Day 15; Thanza – Tshorim
Hike – Following the stream climb towards Tshorim (5,125m from sea level). Sightseeing – snowcapped mountains

Day 16: Tshorim – Gangkar Puensum base camp (16KM)

Hike – Climb towards Tshorim lake, Gophu la pass (5,230m from sea level), descend towards the Gangkar Puensum base camp (4,970m from sea level)
Sightseeing – panoramic view of Gophula Ranges.

Day 17: Gangkar Puensum base camp (Rest day)
Sightseeing – Magnificent views of and from Gangkar Puensum

Day 18: Gangkar Puensum base camp – Geshe Woma (14KM)
Hike – Descend through Sha Chu towards Geshe Woma (4,200m from sea level)

Day 19: Geshe Woma – Warathang (18KM)
Hike – Following the trails of Sha Chu clim up to Saka La pass (4,800m from sea level)
Sightseeing – Small lakes along the foothills of mountain peaks

Day 20: Warathang – Dhur Tshachu (14KM)
Hike – Climb through the Juli La (4,400m from sea level), descend through the forest to cross the bridge to reach Dhur Tshachu (hot spring)

Day 21: Dhur Tshachu – Tshochem (16KM)
Hike – Pass through the pasture land and yeak herders camp (3,860m from sea level)

Day 22: Tshochem – Dhur (21KM) – Bumtang (Jakar)
#NOTE LAST DAY OF TREK
Hike – Following the Chamkhar Chu descend towards Dhur village
Drive – From Dhur transport will take you to lodge.

Day 23: Bumthang
Sightseeing – Kurje Lhakhang, Jambay Lhakhang, Jakar Dzong, Tamshing Monastery

Day 24: Bumthang – Trongsa (3Hrs)
Sightseeing – Trongsa dzong, Local market

Day 25: Trongsa – Paro
Sightseeing – Local market of Paro and handicraft stalls

Day 26: Paro
Hike – Tiger Nest monastery, Kyichu Lhakhang
